Boone County

Boone County District Judges preside over misdemeanor criminal matters as well as probate matters and civil matters with amounts in dispute under $5,000. Criminal, civil, and probate matters can be scheduled throughout the week.

Boone County has three circuit court judges and two district court judges. One of the Circuit court judges is a family law judge. The family court judge presides over matters relating to custody, divorce, child support, and domestic violence. Hearings in each area are scheduled throughout the week.

The other circuit court judges preside over felony criminal cases as well as civil litigation involving sums of money over $5,000. The circuit court general civil dockets are typically held on Tuesday mornings, and the felony criminal dockets are typically held on Wednesdays with arraignments and pretrial conferences scheduled in the morning and probation revocations scheduled in the afternoon.

Campbell County

Campbell County District Judges preside over misdemeanor criminal matters as well as probate matters and civil matters with amounts in dispute under $5,000. Criminal, civil, and probate matters can be scheduled throughout the week.

Campbell County has three circuit court judges and two district court judges. One of the circuit court judges is a family court judge. In the other circuit courts, felony criminal matters can be scheduled throughout the week.

Kenton County

Kenton District Court Judges preside over misdemeanor criminal matters as well as probate matters and civil matters with amounts in dispute under $5,000. Criminal, civil, and probate matters can be scheduled throughout the week.

Kenton County has five circuit court judges and three district court judges. Two of the circuit court judges are family court judges. The family court judges preside over matters relating to custody, divorce, child support, and domestic violence. The Kenton County Family Court general motion docket is held on Tuesdays. In the other circuit courts, felony criminal matters can be scheduled throughout the week.
